Yvette Elkana, Trustee & IT Adviser, Moving On

Our valued colleague Yvette….who has been highly committed and involved with the CSWS Board since 2012 stepped down as Trustee at the end of March.

Critical to communications….Yvette has worked tirelessly with CSWS to shape the way CSWS communicates both internally and externally. At the start of the county-wide organisation she was a critical member of the Tender Team responsible for securing the contract for the universal carers’ service we provide today.

Largely responsible for SPOC….she worked with our team to design our Response Line ‘Single Point of Contact’, SPOC, and the CSWS ‘Sharepoint’ platform used by us all.

Yvette’s service to CSWS….has been remarkable and much was achieved when she temporarily gave up her Trusteeship to work in the role of IT, Information and Social Media Change Programme Manager. The programme Yvette created was a strong starting point for our IT infrastructure.

Vision with skills….Yvette’s overall vision of IT has since enabled CSWS to provide a mobile working network for frontline teams and translated into many continuous improvement projects.  She has advised and worked on these with enthusiasm, diligence, calm approach and the most amazing and impressive degree of energy and patience!

As well as exceptional skills Yvette’s extensive knowledge of IT, business systems solutions, innovation, marketing and enterprise is combined with her personal values and own understanding of caring.

Mobilising for the new CRM….since going back onto the Board in 2016 Yvette has most recently been leading our CRM Task and Finish Group. The work is now close to completion of the first phase in preparing to replace the Carer Database.

Her decision to step down from the Board at this point will allow her to concentrate on driving forward her own other work.  This is to deliver a community development project in London in an area and for a cause which is close to her heart at this time.

Yvette will be greatly missed at CSWS!

We are very grateful and CSWS has been extremely lucky in how Yvette has supported the charity over the years, enabling growth and development in many different ways.  Sincere thanks go to Yvette for everything she has done to strengthen the organisation.

Gratitude…. “I also want to note my personal gratitude – Yvette has been a most incredibly calm, kind and generous Trustee adviser.  She has served the charity to the highest level of commitment and worked selflessly.”

Vanessa commented on behalf of Carer Services…. ”Yvette has done much to shape and enhance many of the systems we currently have in place at CSWS and has been a pleasure to work alongside – I have learnt a great deal.

I would also like to thank Yvette for all the she has contributed.  We wish her all the very best for her exciting new project.”
