Man with a pan
In collaboration with the Community Chef, CSWS are running a five session cookery workshop for male carers in West Sussex.
Purpose of the workshops
Man with a pan is delivered by the Community Chef, who have helped thousands of people to improve their cookery and nutrition skills. Community Chef is a social enterprise, established as a community interest company. They are dedicated to promoting a sustainable food system which provides good food for all while supporting local food producers and most of the ingredients used are organic.
Man with a Pan is an award winning project able to run thanks to funding from the National Lottery’s Awards for All.
These courses are an opportunity for older men to learn to cook, be creative, meet new people, build self-confidence and eat delicious food. Students learn how to prepare delicious, stress-free, affordable and healthy meals in fun and supportive environment. The men share a meal and take extra meals home.
Courses are open to all, but priority places are for older generation men who are carers.
