We’re very pleased to announce that we recently received a donation of £500 as a share of the profits from the Crawley Community Shop.
For those who may not be aware, The Crawley Community Shop is a fundraising cooperative to support charities in the local community, open on Fridays and Saturdays. Every penny raised goes to the appointed charities and community groups according to how many hours volunteered.
Carers Support West Sussex is delighted to be one of the chosen local charities. We already have one volunteer, Megan, generously giving the gift of time on a Saturday. We now have an opportunity for another volunteer to support this initiative and help us to raise more funds to support the work we do with family and friend carers.
This is a great opportunity for someone to get involved, working alongside a dedicated group of volunteers whilst fundraising to help carers live better. If you know someone who may be interested in supporting the community shop as a Carers Support West Sussex volunteer, please email Volunteer Coordinator Wendy Taylor.
