Carer Services Director

Carers Support West Sussex (CSWS), a c£2.5m turnover charity based in the South East of England, is seeking a Carer Services Director to drive the further development of our services. This is a newly created position, responsible for the impact our teams make through delivering services to unpaid and family carers and communities, through developing innovative and evidence based practice which is co-produced with the people we support.

The role is accountable for all of our frontline carer services financially supported by a single county council contract until 2022 with the option of two further 12 month extensions. The role has access to a further £100,000 annual charitable investment for the next two years from 1 April 2020 as part of a transformation programme to maximise the benefit for carers from our charitable services.

We are looking for an exceptional individual for this critical role. You will bring significant leadership experience from effectively leading and managing teams across a number of disciplines and geographies across a County footprint.

The job holder will be a natural and strategic leader with deep and wide-ranging knowledge and experience within health and/or social care settings and services. They will possess the client facing awareness and agility required to make a significant contribution to the development of the carer support that CSWS offers.
