A new initiative from West Sussex Compassionate Communities is looking at ways that communities can come together to support people during illness, dying and bereavement.

In line with National ambitions for palliative and end of life care, they want people in West Sussex to be able to say;

I live in a community where everybody recognises that we all have a role to play in supporting each other in times of crisis and loss.  People are ready, willing and confident to have conversations about living and dying well and to support each other in emotional and practical ways.

They’re currently collecting people’s views via a short survey you can find here.
