A message from Carers Week
Carers Week 2020 is taking place from 08 – 14 June, and this year’s theme is ’Making Caring Visible’.
This year we will be raising awareness amongst the public about the importance of Making Caring Visible – so you will see more from us about how to share and promote a wealth of activities on social media, and more opportunities to shine a light on the contribution carers make.
This year Carers Week will be run entirely virtually, so you can expect to see guides on how to plan your activities and engage with local carers and organisations, both online and non-digitally, to ensure we reach as many carers as possible.
We’re currently working hard to bring all of this to life and will be in touch soon with some brand-new resources and features. And we’re very much looking forward to us all coming together again during Carers Week and recognising all the unpaid carers across the UK.
A message from NCVO
NCVO has taken the difficult decision to cancel our planned activity for #VolunteersWeek 2020.
Our focus right now is on supporting volunteers to take on coronavirus-related roles and helping communities to cope with the many consequences of the pandemic. The Volunteers’ Week website will still be accessible with all the usual resources and ideas for those organisations that are going ahead with their own activities. However, we will be closing the events listing and volunteering stories pages to new content. Find resources here: https://volunteersweek.org/get-involved/resources/
