Unpaid carers continue to face challenges because of the pandemic. Many are taking on more caring responsibilities for their relatives and friends who are disabled, of ill health or elderly and are in need of support. Caring can impact on all aspects of life from relationships and health to finances and work.
Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contributions they make to families and our local community. We hosted a range of online and in-person events to celebrate and had a great week. Thank you to all the carers who came along and to our course facilitators. Take a look at the photos below for a snap shot of what we got up to.
