Coaching Team Support Officer (12 Month Fixed Term Contract)

Work Pattern: 22.5hrs - over 4/5 days to be agreed

You will be a vital part of our innovative National Lottery funded Carer Coaching programme. In this rewarding role you will work as part of the Coaching Team making a significant impact on the lives of unpaid family and friend carers in West Sussex, helping individuals take meaningful time out to reflect, recharge, and build resilience.

In this role, you will be a key enabler in helping carers access the support they need—quickly, smoothly, and without unnecessary barriers, ensuring that both carers and our professional partners can engage with the service easily and efficiently.

You will be instrumental in raising awareness of the coaching service with our professional partners and community networks and directly support our Carer Coaches by streamlining processes, improving communication, producing resources and maintaining accurate records. 

Your contribution will support the overall success and sustainability of the programme and demonstrate the impact of the service to funders like The National Lottery Community Fund.

The role is mainly remote / homeworking with the expectation that you may need to travel on occasion to in-person meetings and training across the county, which may include some weekend engagements. This role would therefore suit those located in, or close to, West Sussex.

Job Role

Key Responsibilities

•    Co-ordinate Appointments: Manage referrals and arrange carer appointments for one-to-one coaching through the database and by contacting carers to ensure they can access the service easily and in a timely manner.
•    Triage: Oversee and organise the Carer Coaching action list and act as the first point of contact for coaching enquiries, providing a knowledgeable, warm and professional response. 
•    Data Entry: Ensure interventions are accurately recorded on the database. 
•    Demonstrating Impact: Support the collection and maintenance of data for reporting. Showcase the difference the service makes in carers’ lives through direct conversation to gather carer stories, evaluations and feedback.
