Bereavement Support

Here at Carers Support West Sussex (CSWS), we completely understand that everyone will experience their own unique journey in coping with loss. At the same time, we believe that connecting with others in a similar situation will provide you with a sense of support and a means of developing your own coping strategy.

Good Grief Pop-up Cafes

If you have lost someone to dementia or are a carer or former carer who is bereaved then please join us at one of our informal friendly pop up Good Grief Cafe's to make connections and find out what support is available.

Cruse Bereavement Care offers support, advice and information to children, young people and adults when someone dies. During the current pandemic our trained volunteers are continuing to offer support over the telephone and internet.

The Silver Line Helpline is the only national, free and confidential helpline for older people open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. We offer information, advice and friendship through our helpline and services. There is no question too big, no problem too small and no need to be alone.

Sussex Bereavement Helpline: Click here to visit website

Provides information and guidance, and is run by a team of experienced support workers, who can talk to you about the tasks that need to be completed after a death – such as registration of the death, arranging a funeral or informing other people and organisations. The Helpline can also give you information about sources of help and support for you and your family and friends as you grieve. Call 0300 111 2141 Monday to Friday from 8am to 5pm.
